Sales & Promotions
In simple words
Sales & Promotions lets your marketing team run offers on their own. Banners announce the offer on your website, and cart price rules apply the discount at checkout. You can plan an offer in the morning and make it live the same afternoon.
The problem it solves
If every offer needs coding, your marketing team cannot run campaigns. They can only request them. Offers go live late, continue after the end date because nobody removed them, and discounts get applied by hand, which reduces your profit.
What happens without it
| If you do not have Sales & Promotions | What it means for your business |
|---|---|
| Banners need a developer and a release | 2–5 days from decision to live, and festive dates are missed |
| Discounts are hard-coded or given manually | Wrong discounts are given, with no way to check them |
| No start and end dates | Offers continue for weeks after they should have stopped |
| No conditions on discounts | Big discounts are given on orders that did not need them |
| No promo codes | You cannot tell which campaign brought the sales |
| Clearance handled by phone | Slow-moving stock stays in the warehouse and blocks your money |
Time you save
| Task | The manual way | With Sales & Promotions | You save |
|---|---|---|---|
| Publish a campaign banner | Brief a developer and wait for a release — 2–5 days | Create and publish it — 15–30 min | 2–5 days per campaign |
| Set up a discount | Hard-code it, or inform every executive | Create a cart price rule with conditions — a few minutes | Hours per campaign |
| Stop an offer on time | Remember it, then request another release | Set the start and end dates once | Weeks of unwanted discount avoided |
| Run a dealer-only offer | Give manual price reductions per order | Add a condition on the customer group | 5–10 min per order, and profit protected |
| Measure a campaign | Guess from the sales figures | Check promo code usage | Real numbers instead of discussion |
| Withdraw an offer immediately | Urgent request to a developer | Deactivate or delete it | Same minute |
Your process, before and after
Management decides an offer, developers implement it, sales apply it manually, and afterwards nobody can say whether it was profitable.
Marketing creates the banner and the rule, sets the dates and checks promo code usage. The offer starts and stops on time and applies only where you intended.
